European Team championships have started

European Team championships have started in Kahuna Squash & Badminton club in Warsaw today. During the opening ceremony representatives of the national teams marched with flags through the club with fans cheering.

The President of Polish Squash Federation Tomasz Banasiak pointed out that squash in Poland is expanding the fastest in Europe, and only within the last two years there have been more than new hundred thousand squash enthusiasts.

Year after year we have three important events: in 2015 European Club Championships in Cracow, 2016 European Team Championships in Warsaw, next year top level at the Sport Olympics in Wrocław – the World Games said T. Banasiak.

We are looking forward to great sport excitement. I am glad we are meeting this year here in Warsaw- said Zena Wooldridge, the President of the European Squash Federation. During this event we can admire top players from the word rank.

We are very proud that for the first time ever it is us who is organizing such a big and prestigious event like European Team Championships – said Sławomir Nowisz, the manager of Kahuna Squash & Badminton club – we are honored that both Polish and European Squash Federations have trusted us. We hope that through the last months we have done our best to provide all squash fans with unforgettable moments and smiles on their faces. Enjoy and support our Polish team. At 6 pm Poland is playing against Hungary. This is a key moment for our players to have a chance to reach the final eight of the second division. If they win it will be a historic success of Polish Squash!
